At the first appointment, initial exam, the
doctor will examine the patient to determine the need for orthodontic
treatment, if the clinical findings at this exam warrant orthodontic treatment,
the following diagnostic records will be taken:
Orthodontic Study models: Plaster replicas of the teeth.
A Panoramic X-ray: A full view of both jaws and all teeth.
A Cephalogram: A profile head x-ray
Photographs: Photographs of the teeth, biting surfaces, and facial features.
At the second appointment, orthodontic consultation, the doctor will review
the diagnostic records with you. He will explain treatment options, the
estimate treatment time, and the cost involved. |
